Buds of Spring

The Buds of Spring is a cotillion for young ladies in the ninth grade, hosted annually by the Gamma Delta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., as part of our Rhomania celebration. Many of our Buds eventually blossom into Roses, a tribute to the cotillion we organize for twelfth-grade ladies.

Since its inception in 1962, the Buds of Spring program has continued to introduce young ladies to society. Gamma Delta Sigma is proud to nurture these young ladies, fostering their cognitive growth, instilling Christian values, and encouraging their political, social, and economic contributions to their communities.

If you have any questions or are in the Miami-Dade or Broward County area and would like to recommend a young lady who demonstrates a well-rounded attitude both inside and outside the classroom and in society, please email gds.sgrhos@gmail.com with her contact information. Souvenir Journal

Welcome to the Buds of Spring Souvenir Journal submission area! This publication is designed to celebrate the achievements of our remarkable young ladies and serves as a platform for our supporters to submit their congratulatory ads. We encourage you to contribute to this memorable keepsake by submitting print-ready ads. Available options include:

  • Full-page

  • Half-page

  • Quarter-page

  • Inside front cover

  • Inside back cover

This is a wonderful opportunity to show your support and be a part of commemorating our Buds' journey. Thank you for your participation and support!

To ensure your ad appears beautifully in print, please follow these guidelines for print-ready submissions. "Print-ready" means your ad should be in high-resolution (300 DPI) and in either PDF or JPEG format. Ensure that all text and images are clear and correctly formatted. Full-page ads should measure 8.5 x 11 inches, half-page ads should measure 8.5 x 5.5 inches, quarter-page ads should measure 4.25 x 5.5 inches, and back cover ads should also be 8.5 x 11 inches. Please submit your ads by Sunday, June 16, 2024 to ensure they are included in the journal.

For those who prefer not to submit a full ad but still wish to show support, we offer a Patrons option. By contributing as a Patron, your name or business will be listed in a special section dedicated to our supporters. This is a wonderful way to honor our Buds and have your support acknowledged.

Thank you for supporting the Buds of Spring Souvenir Journal and helping us celebrate the achievements of our remarkable young ladies.

Terms and Conditions for Ad Submissions: (1). Ad Options - We offer several ad options for the Buds of Spring Souvenir Journal, including full-page, half-page, quarter-page, inside front cover, and inside back cover ads; (2) Exclusive Ad Spaces - The inside front cover and inside back cover ad spaces are limited to one sponsor each. These will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis; (3) High-Resolution Submissions - All ads must be print-ready, high-resolution (300 DPI), and submitted in either PDF or JPEG format. Ad dimensions are as follows: Full-page ad: 8.5 x 11 inches, Half-page ad: 8.5 x 5.5 inches, Quarter-page ad: 4.25 x 5.5 inches; Inside front/back cover ad: 8.5 x 11 inches; (4) Ad Submission Process: Print-ready ads must be submitted via the designated form during the ordering process. Ensure all text and images are clear and correctly formatted according to the provided specifications; (5) Ad Submission Deadline - All ads must be submitted by June 16, 2025. Late submissions may not be included in the journal. (6) Ad Placement Availability - If the exclusive inside front cover or inside back cover ad space has already been purchased, we will convert your request to a regular full-page ad. You will have the option to either donate the difference in fee towards your Bud or receive a refund for the difference between the exclusive ad and a regular full-page ad, if the sponsor does not wish to donate the fee difference; (7) Patron Listings - For Patrons, we will list business names and individual names. No additional contact details, such as addresses, or websites will be included. (8) Refund Policy - Refunds will only be issued for the difference between the exclusive ad and a regular full-page ad if the exclusive ad space you requested is no longer available and the sponsor does not wish to donate the fee difference. All other sales are final; (9) Souvenir Journals - Sponsors who purchase a quarter-page or larger ad will receive one souvenir journal. Sponsors of exclusive ad spaces (inside front cover and inside back cover) will receive three journals. (10) Journal Pick-Up and Mailing - Formatting the souvenir journal takes time. We will contact each sponsor when the journals are ready for pick-up. If you wish to have your journal mailed to you, we will provide information on the cost of mailing and coordinate the shipment accordingly. There will also be an opportunity to pre-order additional copies of the souvenir journal.
